How do I become a member?

Our Brookland Union Baptist Church family is made up of baptized believers in Christ, joyfully united by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel. Together, we strive to follow Christ’s teachings, honor His ordinances, and live faithfully under the guidance of His Word. We warmly welcome all who desire to share in this fellowship to be considered for membership in this Church through the following ways, with the prayerful support and guidance of our church leadership:

1. Baptism (Profession of Faith). Anyone who confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, embraces the faith and principles of this Church, and is baptized by immersion may be received into full membership.

2. Christian Experience of Grace.  A baptized believer of good character who has previously been a member of another Christian Church, but who cannot present a letter of transfer for sufficient reason, and who is in substantial accord with the faith and principles of this Church, may be received into membership based on their Christian experience.

3. Letter. Anyone in agreement with the faith and principles of this Church may be welcomed into fellowship by presenting a letter of transfer from another Christian Church, and baptism by immersion if not previously baptized.
